Due to an incredible training regimen when I was younger, my resting heartrate has always been between 50-55. Last July I discovered I needed two stents for a 95% clogged artery. Even after a lifetime of fitness, it takes very little time of "non-fitness," poor diet, and stress to cause problems. That's why consistency is key.
