Nonsense. There is no comparison. My father died of smoking related lung cancer at 37 years old. I refused to date anyone who smoked, wouldn’t let passengers smoke in my car, and frankly, didn’t want to be around people who smoked. As for dating: kissing a smoker is one of the most disgusting things I can think of, thus my refusal to date or marry a smoker. I also wouldn’t want to date or marry a drug addict. MY choice.
And who you date IS your choice. Eliminating smokers, or short people, or vegans, or meat eaters b/c of preferences is not wrong. Now, if you are a vegan and happened to fall in love with a meat eater and could overlook it for the rest of your life, go for it!
And if you don’t mind dating a smoker, again, go for it. just be aware of what you are signing up for. . .
